Important
To get your Busylight to automatically change colors and update your status based on your UC platform (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other platforms), you’ll need to download the appropriate software. The Busylight software allows the light to change in real-time according to your status on the platform.
How Busylight Works with Your UC Platform:
Once you have the right software installed, your Busylight will automatically change color based on your current status in your UC platform (such as Teams, Zoom, etc.). For example, when you’re in a meeting, the light will automatically show a “Busy” status (red), and when you’re available, it will show an “Available” status (green). This is all synchronized in real-time with your platform’s status.
Choose one of the following methods:
1. Automatic Status Updates via UC Platform Software (Recommended)
Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.: If you want automatic status updates, download and install the specific Busylight software designed for your UC platform. Once installed, your Busylight will automatically change colors based on your status in the platform client.
- Download the correct software for your platform: Teams, Webex, Zoom etc.
- Download kuandoHUB software if using more than one platform
2. Manual Controls via Chrome (No Software Required)
If you don’t want to install any software, you can manually change the Busylight’s status directly through the Chrome browser. Simply use the Chrome web app or an alternative browser extension to control your Busylight status.
- This method requires no additional software installation, but the status will need to be changed manually via the browser interface.
3. In-A-Call Software (USB Port-Based Status Change)
Alternatively, the In-A-Call software allows Busylight to change color based on microphone activity. When the microphone detects active usage (such as during a call), the Busylight will automatically update its status accordingly. This method is ideal if you prefer a device-agnostic solution that works independently of a specific UC platform.
3. Want to use Busylight across multiple platforms?
KuandoHUB – All alerts.

How to Get Employees Onboard with Busylight
While a single Busylight can certainly help improve personal focus and reduce interruptions, its real power is unlocked when it is used across an entire team or organization.
Why One Busylight Isn’t Enough
The true value of Busylight comes from ensuring that all team members are using them. This creates a shared, visual language that everyone can understand and rely on.
1. Clear, Collective Focus Signals:
When multiple team members use Busylights, it becomes easy to see when someone is in a meeting, focused, or requires uninterrupted work time. Your colleagues will instantly know when to approach and when to avoid disturbing others, fostering a greater respect for personal focus time and minimizing disruptions.
2. Enhanced Communication & Collaboration:
Busylights not only help individuals stay focused but also improve overall communication. By using a shared system, the whole team can stay aligned on who is available, who is busy, and who is in a collaborative space. This leads to more timely communication and more efficient meetings or collaboration sessions.
3. Consistency Across the Organization:
For Busylight to work effectively, it needs to be part of your team’s culture. When every team member has a Busylight, consistency is ensured across the organization. It’s not just about individual focus—it’s about a shared understanding of when colleagues are available or unavailable, which leads to more effective teamwork.
Encouraging Adoption Across Your Team
• Promote the idea that Busylight is not just a personal tool, but a shared organizational tool. Encourage employees to use their Busylights consistently, helping to foster a team-wide culture of mutual respect and understanding.
• Help employees understand that Busylight is an easy-to-use tool that benefits the entire team. The more employees use it, the more powerful and effective it becomes for everyone.
• Busylight helps reduce miscommunication, increase productivity, and enable more effective collaboration.
